New Delhi [India], December 27 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘New Bhaupur – New Khurja section‘ of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) on December 29 at 11 am by way of video conferencing.
Based on the Prime Minister’s Workplace (PMO), Modi will even inaugurate EDFC’s Operation Management Centre (OCC) at Prayagraj.
Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Piyush Goyal will even be current on the event.
The 351 km New Bhaupur – New Khurja section of EDFC is located in Uttar Pradesh and is constructed at a price of Rs 5,750 crores. The part will open new vistas of alternative for the native industries equivalent to aluminium business (Pukhrayan area of Kanpur Dehat district), dairy sector (Auraiya district), textile manufacturing/block printing (Etawah district), glassware business (Firozabad district), pottery merchandise (Khurja of Bulandshahr district), asafoetida or ‘hing’ manufacturing (Hathras district) and locks and {hardware} (Aligarh district). The part will even decongest the present Kanpur – Delhi primary line and can allow Indian Railways to run sooner trains.
“A state-of-the-art Operation Management Centre (OCC) at Prayagraj will act because the command centre for your entire route size of the EDFC. The OCC is among the largest constructions of its sort globally, with fashionable interiors, ergonomic design and best-in-class acoustics. The constructing is environment-friendly with a Inexperienced Constructing score of GRIHA4 and is constructed as per norms of the ‘Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan’,” the PMO stated.
The EDFC which is envisioned over a route of 1,856 km, begins from Sahnewal close to Ludhiana in Punjab and can go by the states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand to terminate at Dankuni in West Bengal.
It’s being constructed by Devoted Freight Hall Company of India Restricted (DFCCIL), that has been arrange as a particular objective automobile to construct and function Devoted Freight Corridors.
DFCCIL can be establishing the Western Devoted Freight Hall (1,504 route km) that connects Dadri in Uttar Pradesh to Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Mumbai and can traverse by the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. (ANI)
