In per week’s time, the Marine Surroundings Safety Committee (MEPC) will convene for its 76th session, and the shipping business is raring to listen to its resolution on the Carbon Depth Indicator (CII).
The Norwegian delegation is in favor of each CII and the Effectivity Current Ship Index (EEXI) and disagrees with many different shipping stakeholders that consider the proposed measurements for CII – also referred to as the Annual Effectivity Ratio (AER) – may have a detrimental impact on the atmosphere.
