The Danish courts have set dates from late October for a listening to over allegations that international marine gasoline provider Dan-Bunkering breached EU sanctions with offers of jet gasoline that ended up in Syria.
The listening to has been scheduled for 26 October to 14 December, maritime information service ShippingWatch reported Thursday, citing feedback from the State Prosecutor for Severe Financial and Worldwide Crime.
Dan-Bunkering itself in addition to mother or father firm Bunker Holding and its CEO, Keld Demant, face charges. The case pertains to 33 offers of jet gasoline to Russian counterparties in 2015-2017, with the gasoline in the end ending up in Syria in breach of EU sanctions.
Bunker Holding denies the allegations.
“Our personal thorough inner investigations have revealed no indicators that anybody inside Bunker Holding or Dan-Bunkering had any data of the alleged breaches of EU sanctions,” a spokesman for the corporate mentioned by e-mail on Friday.
“We look ahead to presenting our case and having the matter totally investigated on the upcoming trial.”
